Freelance For A Living is a Web site dedicated to all those people out there who want to tell their bosses “I quit.” The site was founded by freelance writer and journalist Casey Clark Ney. Casey has been in the writing business for seven plus years. In 2007, after being laid off and rehired (aka - jerked around) by her employer, she decided corporate life wasn’t for her. During her journey to become a freelancer, Casey found she was in need of two things. 1) A resource she could visit everyday that had multiple freelance opportunity listings (for free) and 2) A resource that provided relevant ideas and tips for individuals trying to break into and thrive in the freelance industry. Casey found sites here and there that met her needs. But never did she find what she wanted in a single forum. Rather than complain, Casey did what she does best - she made her own way. And so, Freelance For A Living was born to help fellow freelancers find work so that they too can box up their Ann Taylor apparel (or whatever it is they wear) and enjoy lounging in Victoria Secret sweats and slippers all day long while their friends run around chasing corporate dreams.
